Suzy performs a duet with Kim Soo Hyun on "Dream High"
 Suzy and Kim Soo Hyun teamed up for an impressive duet performance on this week’s episode of KBS 2TV’s "Dream High"!

The two took charge of the opening stage for the entrance class' first showcase performance. The stage is an especially important one, as it managed to draw 'Sam Dong' (Kim Soo Hyun)’s mother into the audience.

Sam Dong was both happy and nervous about his mother watching, and so Hye Mi (Suzy) decided to help ease his nerves by holding tightly onto his hand as they performed Sam Dong’s self-compsed track, "Maybe".

Although their performance wasn’t as extravagant as the art class’, Sam Dong and Hye Mi’s song was praised for its simplistic beauty. The sounds of a simple piano melody and guitar rhythm perfectly communicated both their innocence and their strong love for music.

Make sure to look out for their duet in the 7th episode of Dream High!

"Dream High" Currently Number 1 in Viewer Ratings for Mon-Tues Dramas

In its third week of broadcast, the KBS2 Mon-Tues drama "Dream High" has taken over the number 1 spot in viewer ratings out of all dramas in its same time slot.

According to AGB Nielson Media Research on the 18th, "Dream High" recorded a nation-wide viewer rating of 15.5% and a viewer rating of 17.0% in the capital city, the day before. Broadcasted in the same time slot, MBC's "Queen of Reversals" and SBS's "Athena: Goddess of War" both received the same nation-wide viewer rating of 14.7%.

Although Bae Yong Joon and Park Jin Young's much talked about joint project "Dream High" had started off on the 3rd with a viewer rating of 10.7%, the viewer rating rose higher and higher. With numerous Korean idol stars participating, its driving force lies with the various music and dance highlights shown that other dramas can't.

The production company explained, "It's been discovered that the genuine love situations and non-stop smiles of the protagonists gives the viewers a fresh feeling."

On the other hand, KBS1 TV's "Smile, Dong Hae" acquired first place in viewer ratings of all shows that aired that day at 33.7%.

Furthermore, the viewer rating data from a different survey company "TNmS" gave a total of 13.7% for "Dream High," 13.0% for "Athena: Goddess of War," 11.9% for the MBC drama "Queen of Reversals," and 33.7% for "Smile, Dong Hae."

A still cut of Kim Soohyun with miss A's Suzy from the set of KBS 2TV's Dream High was revealed earlier today, which showed the two on the verge of sharing a kiss.

The photo is from a scene in which Suzy, who plays the part of an arrogant girl named Hyemi, suddenly turnes to Samdong (played by Kim Soohyun), a boy who lives in the country with his grandmother, and says "I like you." She continues and suggests that he enroll at her school. Though Samdong is aware that this is all a lie, his heart does not listen and proceeds to burn up.

He then follows Hyemi to the bus and kisses her, an important action as it foreshadows what will happen in succeeding episodes. As the bus is leaving, Samdong calls Hyemi a "pesticide-like girl" and sees her off.

In response to the scene, Suzy reflected, "This scene wasn't originally in the script, but we got to shoot it after the director suggested it on the spot. It was sudden, but it was relief being able to get through it in one cut.

There have been comparisons and discussions regarding the family background of miss A's member, Suzy, and the life of Cinderella.

Suzy may not have the stepmother and sisters in the fairytale, but she has grown with pride in an average income family. Born in 1994, Suzy is the youngest of three children. Her parents manage a small eatery in Gwangju. Although she did not go for special training, the youngest daughter of the eatery is one popular figure in Gwangju Woosandong. Everyone knew there was a pretty girl who knew how to dance.

Mnet's idol show, 'Superstar K', discovered this girl of multiple talents when she went through the first round of auditions. Shortly after, JYPE decided to sign her.

JYPE's promotional team leader, Han Soo Jung, revealed, "When we came to Gwangju, one of our managers spotted Suzy immediately. During the break, our manager went forward to talk to Suzy while she was heading to the restroom. We didn't know Suzy's parents managed an eatery. Suzy is a happy-go-lucky girl: she might not be rich, but you can see that she has grown with much love from her parents."

"I've heard that Suzy's parents were very supportive of her. She proved her love for her family by placing them first place in her heart. Determined to say, Suzy claimed her success and will buy a special gift for her hard working parents."

Miss A teaching their dance for "Breathe"


On October 28, 2010 This video was uploaded up on youtube, displaying Miss A members Min, Jia ad Fei teaching their dance tutorial, step by step for their song "Breathe" in one of JYPE practice rooms. This is great for those who had submitted in their videos for the contest that AQE company has with the kpop gossip site Allkpop.

Suzy is absence, we believe it's either school or a individual schedule that she's having. We're not sure but in the video, the girls are singing and dancing, while teaching us step by step how to dance to their song "Breathe".

If you haven't notice, Jia cut her hair so she has a bob hair now. She still looks good though you can see the black roots on the top of her head, the same goes for Fei. They're dressing in casual clothes, sweat pants, while jeans for Fei. We don't know how she can dance with it in a long time, but hopefully it wasn't due to the fabric and stiffness of the jeans.


Yes, Min seems to love those UGG boots ^^
